Salvatore Strazzeri

Born on May 15, 1930, in San Cataldo, Sicily, Italy, Salvatore was the eldest of seven children born to Giuseppe and Concetta Strazzeri. In 1948, at just 18 years old, he immigrated to New York. Shortly after arriving, he met the love of his life, Concetta DiStefano, and the two were married in 1954. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to family.

Salvatore was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Concetta; his sisters, Grace Gurrieri and Lucy Sarno; his brother, Michael Strazzeri; and his son-in-law, James Shine.

He is survived by his loving children, Connie Shine, Joseph Strazzeri and wife Kathleen, and Ann Marie Marchese and partner Philip Patti, along with their families who adored their “Papa.” He was blessed with eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, who brought endless joy to his days. He loved hearing stories about all the kids and never failed to say, “Give them a kiss from me!”

Salvatore’s presence will be deeply missed, but his family finds comfort knowing that he is reunited once again with his beloved wife, Concetta.

Visitation will be held at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, located at 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale, NY 11735, on October 29, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday October 30, 2025, 10:00 am, at St. Martin of Tours, Bethpage, NY. Entombment to follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, New York.
