Battaglia, Thomas, 98, of Farmingdale, passed away on February 3, 2022. Retired director of NYC Department of Parks and Recreation. Proud Army Staff Sergeant of WWII, wounded while proudly serving his country in the European Theatre. Reunited in heaven with his beloved wife Edna. Loving father of Michael Battaglia (Deborah), Helen Lambert (the late John), and Geralyn DeSantis (Felix). Devoted grandfather of Robert, Carol, Christie, and the late Peter Hartman. Cherished great-grandfather of Kara, Katelyn, Ethan, Braden, and Kestin. Dear brother of Geri Stagg and the late Bill Battaglia. The family will receive visitors Tuesday, February 8th, 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Arthur F. White Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Conklin Street, Farmingdale. Funeral Mass Wednesday, February 9th, 10 am at St. Kilian RC Church. Interment following at St. Charles Cemetery.
