"Mr. Buttice" was my high school violin teacher over 50 years ago. He was inspirational and over the years, he was not forgotten. I'm saddened not to have re-connected with him.  "Mr. Buttice" was a remarkable teacher and beloved by the Hicksville High School orchestra.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Tom's family and Margaret Considine. 
Tom was a wonderful man with a keen sense of humor. He and Margaret were an amazing couple together, enjoying life to it's fullest.
Tom will be greatly missed..

I worked with Tom for many years. He was always pleasant, kind, considerate, and enjoyed his life and profession.  I know he loved his family,  job,  students and his co-workers. I am sure Billy Joel remembers him too.. He was a fine man who will leave foot prints and be missed. It was a pleasure to know him and work with him.

Deepest condolences to his family and friends.  Jim and I were former students of Mr. Buttice many years ago.  We were so grateful to be able to see him last summer at the Hicksville High School 50th reunion.  He was one of our musical mentors.    We both have continued our love of music to this day. He was an inspiration to us..  We will never forget him.   Rest in Peace and Godspeed Mr. Buttice.

My deepest sympathies to my beautiful friend, Margaret and all of Tom's family. I met Tom several years ago at a Salve Regina University event along with Margaret. It was clear to me how much he was enjoying himself being an an "Honoree Alum". It spoke volumes to me about his character!! Tom you were indeed the sun to Margaret's rainbow, may you rest peacefully in heaven.

Sending my deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Buttice. He was my all-time favorite teacher in high school. He gave me so many musical opportunities that have impacted my life to this day. It was because of him that I switched from violin to viola, which I ended up loving! Even though piano has always been my primary instrument, Mr. Buttice's encouragement in the stringed instruments has continued to enrich my life. He also introduced me to much orchestral repertoire that I will always associate with him. He also gave me my first opportunity to perform a piano concerto with orchestra. All of that aside, he was the nicest, most gentle person who I regarded as a friend and mentor.

Our sincerest condolences.  We have such warm memories of Mr. and Mrs. Buttice as we were always lovingly welcomed into their home.  Rest in peace.

Very sad to hear of Tom's passing.  Tom and Peg came to visit my mother's house, Mary Elizabeth Magee (Murray), in South Dartmouth several times.  I went out to lunch and dinner with Tom and Peg many times and we had many laughs.  He was a good friend.   All my best to his friends and family.
