Alice Lee Woods

Born in Page, WV, she was one of four daughters born to the late Earl L. and Katherine A. Vance. She grew up in Gauley Bridge, WV and attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Huntington, WV where she received her RN Nursing Degree.

After graduation, she married and moved to Roanoke, VA, where she began her nursing career. She retired from The Asthma & Allergy Clinic after many years of service. Outside of her professional life, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. Alice lived a long, full life and her kindness and generosity touched many.

Left to cherish many wonderful memories include her son, Jackie Allen Woods; two grandchildren, Kaycee Mowles and Rhegan Woods; and three sisters, Earlene B. Slack, Kay Armistead, and Imo Polly Brown.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm March 20, 2025, at Huse Memorial Park Fayetteville, W.V.
