
CARL ZORIO FAYETTEVILLE – Carl Dennis Zorio, 65, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston. Born on March 5, 1949 at Montgomery, he was the son of the late Jelso and Doris Dury Zorio. Carl was raised in Fayetteville and Charleston. Circumstances brought him to California, but in 1977 the West Virginia hills drew him home. He loved baseball and fishing. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved all types of music. Carl was proud of his Northern Italian heritage and known far and wide for his Lasagna. He was a retired machinist and postal contractor. Carl worked many productions at the Historic Fayette Theater in the technical booth. Left to cherish many wonderful memories is his wife, Laurie Zorio; daughter, Stephanie Zorio of Pocatello, ID; cousins who he thought of as brothers, Steve Pilato and Mike Pilato both of Fayetteville, and Carlo Zorio of Charleston; mother-in-law, Emilie Sears; best friends, Kevin and Debbie Lemon of Oak Hill, and a host of other family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the Historic Fayette Theater. In honoring his wishes, Carl will be cremated and laid to rest on the Zorio family grave plot at Huse Memorial Park.
