She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Bruce Carr in 2023; her father Marcell King; mother, Gloria King; and brother, David King.
Carrie was an Oak Hill High School graduate class of 1978. She also took classes at Mountain State University.
Carrie worked at the Oak Hill Animal Clinic for many years. She enjoyed her time there and the friends she made there. In her spare time, she loved making blankets and canning food to share with family and friends. She was also an avid fan of the WVU Mountaineers.
She attended St. Andrews Episcopal Church.
Left to cherish her memory include her furbaby, Rampage; niece, Elizabeth (William) Hamilton; two nephews, Darius (Melinda) Carr, Jr. and Bryant Carr; aunt, Elizabeth Ann Francesa Anderson from Fayetteville; two brothers-in-law, Darius (Debra) Carr and Eugene Carr; cousin, Tim (Kathie) King along with several other cousins, and great nieces and nephews and 4.5 great-great nieces and nephews.
The services for Carrie Carr will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024. The family will begin receiving visitors from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 pm and Pastor Justin Seay officiating.
