

Born in Pipestem, WV to Harry Madison and Eula Bowles, Harry was a retired electrician in the coal mines. He labored daily to provide for his family who was his entire world. He served as a mentor for many men entering the mining field.
In addition to his profession, Harry was a 33rd degree Mason, a Shriner and served on mine rescue alongside his best friend, Mike Thompson.
Harry was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord. He was a friend who always helped everyone in need at any time, day or night. He was a quiet source of strength, who loved his family and friends unconditionally. He impacted many lives during his 80 year walk on this earth.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Eula Bowles; brother, Hershal (Bobby) and wife Jean Bowles; his sisters, Judith, Mary, Dolly and Brenda; as well as two siblings who died at young ages and Mitch and Jimmy Whitlock.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Penny Bowles; daughter, Abby Bowles and fiancé, Michael Whitlow and grandson, Aidan Whitlow. His sons, Harry Bowles Jr and Kathy, Timothy Bowles and Shelley, and Anthony Bowles and Heather and his grandchildren, Ashley Bowles, Krystan Davis (Tyler), Lane Bowles (Karl), Bailey Bowles (Fran), Katelyn Thomas (Tanner), Madison Bowles, Tara Bowles, Emma Bowles, Cassidy Bowles. His five great-grandchildren, Staley, Alexa, Ollie, Finley and Owen. His brother, Roger (Pam) Bowles and Steven Whitlock and all countless nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 1:00P.M. at the American Legion, Fayetteville, WV.
