To the Hess family, and to my best and dearest friend ...Alan Sr. , my heart and prayers are with you all during this time.
I pretty much grew up in the Hess household during the weekends. Mrs. Hess(Helen) and Mr. Hess(Bob) were my weekend parents and Alan was like my brother. Helen always loved and took care of us kids...always very family oriented.... cooked us great meals , fixed us snacks when Alan and I headed out to the back yard where we had set up the tent for the night and generally tended to us......all without being intrusive .......What a great Mom!
One of my fondest memories of Helen is the kindness she expressed when us kids...and I am sure naggingly, asked her to take us for a car ride in the Bonneville with its top down. Helen always had time for the kids.
I feel blessed to have known Helen..that she accepted me as one of her own,and I can only imagine the mutititude of ways she enriched the lives of those she crossed paths with.
I thank GOD for allowing me to have known Helen.....I thought the world of her...and she will be missed.
To the Hess family...You all are surley blessed to have had such a fine and caring person in your family.

God Bless You all,
Mark Lambert

Dear family,
I was sadden to learn of the passing of Aunt Helen today through a relative on Ancestry.com. We had lost touch in the last few years but I have many fond memories of Aunt Helen, my Mom's Libby's youngest sister. I remember her wonderful sense of humor, her beautiful voice and her great sense of fashion. I always looked up to her and she was one of my favorite Aunts. She will be missed. Our love to Uncle Bob and cousins Bobby and Alan and their families
