We were saddened to learn of Jim’s passing. We met Jim while visiting Chris and Carla at their camp. He was so friendly. He made you feel that it was his pleasure to visit with you - so welcoming. We’re grateful that he touched our lives. Our deepest sympathy to his loved ones. Rest In Peace.

We love Jim and Delores. They never missed a service. Jim's smile and gentle demeanor were ever present. We have to say good bye for now but we will be saying hello in heaven before long. We will mine a few ton of coal and then go up to the cabin for some deer hunting. I was their pastor for nearly 20 years and never heard him say a cross word. Don't get me wrong he wasn't afraid to speak out when something was wrong but it was said with his love and care. Don't worry about Jim because his Savior is taking good care of him. Jesus was there with him at his graduation from earth. What a great time that was for Jim. Jim your shift is over. Its time to hang up your light and let someone else go to work. Dying comes as easy as taking a nap when you have Jesus as your Savior. I pray for Delores and your sons and family. Jim, you know that Jesus will take good care of them too. God speed to you all. We will always have fond memories of Jim at camp. Jim and Deloris were the first people that we met after we got our place in Pendleton County and they were so nice and welcoming. Jim was always happy see us and to talk about hunting and fishing, rattlesnakes and finding mushrooms. We will miss him, and will always remember his smile and friendliness to us. Our sympathy to family and loved ones. Carla and Chris.

So many great memories with my “second” dad. I think of vacation and trout lines at Bluestone Dam and trips to the beach in North Carolina, as well as wonderful times at camp in Pendleton County. We sure will miss him.

Robert and Regina, thinking of you and the entire Lively family during this most difficult time. My dad was one of your Dad's coworkers at Cannelton Industries. I am sure they shared a lot of good stories in their days. Prayers for all.
