FAYETTEVILLE – Jeffrey Laing McKnight, 59, of Fayetteville, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2019 at CAMC Memorial Division, Charleston.

Born on February 14, 1960 at Charleston, WV, he was the son of Faye Marie Kincaid McKnight and the late Walter Norman McKnight. Jeffrey was a route salesman for Pepsi with 38 years of service. He graduated from Midland Trail High School in 1978. In his spare time he enjoyed yard work and was very proud of his collection of metal flowers. He also enjoyed swimming, drinking cold beer, spending time with family and friends and Mountaineer sports. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cyndi McKnight.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 28 years, Sherry McKnight; daughter: Shannan (Patrick) Hedgecock; sons: Seth Sedlock and Caleb Sedlock; grandchildren: Alissa Sedlock, Eli Sedlock, Jayme Sedlock, Sage Hedgecock, and Emersyn Kate Hedgecock; brothers: Mac (Susan) McKnight and Bill (Pam) McKnight; sister: Beth McKnight; special friends: Steve Meadows, Rose Kurzyna, Jonathan Parsons, Adam and Jessica Underwood; and his dog, Delilah. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Pastor Kenny Hayes officiating. Entombment will follow at Huse Memorial Park and Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11 am to 1 pm at the funeral home.
