I met Joann in the Kindergarten class of First Baptist Church. We grew up in church together. We went to high school together. She was a sweet, loving person and always had a smile on her face. I was shocked and saddened to read this. My prayers are with your family.

I went to Beckley Junior High and WWHS with Joann. She was such a beautiful lady, inside and out! The last time I saw her was at a class reunion. I really enjoyed talking with her and she shared pictures of your beautiful family with me. I know how much she loved all of you and know you miss her immensely....hugs .....I am so sorry for your loss.....

July 9, 2018: Well I just called the DHHR and asked for Joann, my sister's aged and disabled worker. I am so saddened by the news that Joann had passed away. Joann has been such a blessing for me in obtaining the needed care and insurance for my sister Carol who had a severe stroke on 6/9/2015. Joann has her angel wings in Heaven, and her name is definitely written in the Lamb's Book Of Life. She is truly with Jesus.
FAMILY: I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I talked to Joann on the phone many times at DHHR, but never met her in person.
God Bless You All during this time. I will surely miss her very much.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Joann was my dad’s DHHR social worker. When I was trying to get all the paperwork in and approved for him last year Joann was so helpful. I had just lost my Mom and had placed my dad in a nursing home and I was completely overwhelmed. She walked me thru the process, gave me advice, and when I called today to talk to her-after receiving my renewal forms from her-I heard the sad news. I was so looking forward to catching up with Joann. My God comfort you.

I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the Bragg family and all of Joann's family, friends and co-workers. I worked with her at DHHR many years ago and I know her presence will be surely missed. I would always see her at Walmart - one of the last times we spoke, she had told me she was finally thinking about retirement. We know now that she is at rest with our Heavenly Father and has peace everlasting. My thoughts and prayers are with you - God will bring you comfort during this difficult time.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of working with Joann for about 7 years at the DHHR. She loved the Lord and her family so much. She was always talking about her husband, children, grandchildren and her church. She made matching bumper pads and a blanket for our son in 2009. Praying for the family. ❤
