Born on November 24, 1961 to Elizabeth “Betty” Lane and the late Jack Lane who she missed daily.
Lisa’s path here to walk was a hard one as she suffered from LGS, Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, from the age of four. This syndrome caused both physical and mental challenges which, with the loving care of our mother (and a lot of fight and sass by Lisa) she fought every day. Lisa was a member of Doggett Chapel United Methodists Church where she performed in many Christmas plays in her childhood. She loved singing Christmas songs and hymns. She also gave money for “the little children” whenever she heard of a need. She spoke often of the things she would do, that she was unable to do here, “when I get to Heaven and see Jesus”. Lisa loved children and played with all her nieces and nephews, and then with her great nieces and nephews. She was a joy to our family, and to be surrounded by all of us was her greatest delight.
Lisa is survived by her loving and devoted mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Lane; her brother, Rick (Frances) Nugen; her sister, Anne (Bob) Hogan, Terri (Maurice) Alouf, and Debbie (Roby) Lane; her brother, Jay (Michelle) Lane as well as a multitude of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family would like to thank the nurses, doctors, and the entire staff at CAMC SICU for their loving care in our time of need. The love and kindness shown by all was most appreciated and a blessing.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any contribution in Lisa’s name be sent to http://www.lgsfoundation.org.
