Dear Eddie and Family,
I am sad to hear of the death of your mother and my dear friend Mae. She and I shared many memories of working together in the American Legion Auxiliary and with the Girls' State program. You and your family will arrive slowly to a peace-filled feeling as you deal with this great loss. May each day find you farther along the road to a settled memory of the wonderful person Mae was.

I would like to express my sympathy for your loss today. I never knew Mrs. Workman, but I do remember her sister June George who taught me in part of the 2nd and part of the 3rd grade at Widen, W.Va in 1951- 1952. I've always remembered her as very good teacher, and I'm sure her sister was also a fine person. My father moved us to Pineville, W.Va. in 1953 but I have always remembered the people that I knew from Dille and Widen. I was born in Dille, W.Va. and still go back and visit often. I would again like to express my condolence to the family in the loss of your loved one! Bobby Jenkins
