Mary Lawson Persinger McCurdy, 60, of Fayetteville, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley. Born on October 3, 1956 in Fayette County, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Kenneth and Ellen Mae Miller Lawson. Mary was a 1974 graduate of Fayetteville High School. She enjoyed working on her farm, gardening, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, David Wayne Persinger. Left to cherish her memory includes her daughter, Olivia McCurdy and Kyle Blethen of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Jaidyn Faith DeLung and James Oliver DeLung; special friend, Richard Smith; and many other friends and family. In keeping her wishes private services were held with William McCurdy officiating. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to Bowers Hospice House, 450 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801. I am in such disbelief & confusion about Mary I found the news today 3.9.17 this happened soon after my dad passed. I was a co worker w/Mary she was so proud of her kids & grandkids we would cross paths time to time mostly at Kroger & talk she is a strong will-minded woman I will miss her "big mike" Fayetteville wv
