Born on October 19, 1937 at Oak Hill, she was the daughter of the late Charles Willis Kincaid Sr. and Eura Belle Fitzwater Kincaid.
Maxine was a faithful member of Cotton Hill Missionary Baptist Church at Beckwith for many years where she was a member of the Ladies Circle. She loved God and she was a faithful prayer warrior. Her life was spent being there for her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 2012, Cecil John Gibson Sr.; son, David Allen Gibson in 1960; granddaughter, Carrie Myles in 2000; five sisters and one brother; and a brother and sister that passed very young.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Nora (Rick) Myles, Stella Blake, Cecil (Vickie) Gibson Jr., and Randall (Tammy) Gibson; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Don Kincaid, Harold (Mary) Kincaid, and Darrell “Dean” (Betty) Kincaid.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Pastor Ron Sears officiating.
The family will receive friends at 1PM at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at High Lawn Memorial Park, Oak Hill.
