One of the memories i have of Mrs. Kessler is when she tried teaching us how to cut out a pattern and sew it. I always had my sleeves backwards. R.I.P Mrs.Kessler

Mrs. Kessler was a wonderful woman, I looked forward to her Home economics class. I loved using the sewing machine, I am a quilter, and sew some of my clothes. I think about her from time to time and remember how patient she was with her class.

My sympathy and Prayers to Phyllis' family.
Both Mrs Kessler and Mr Kessler taught at Layland Jr High--Layland, WV in the 1950's. Both were my teachers. If I am not mistaken they got married while teaching there. Before I retired I would see her out shopping and I was always happy to see and talk with her. They were wonderful people (teachers).Go Rest High on that Mountain Phyllis Kessler.

I am sorry for your loss. Always loved Mrs. Kessler. Had her my freshman year. She was a great woman. Always listened when I need her. She made me a great baker. I still use her recipes to this day. We kept in touch for years. She will be missed dearly. Heaven gained a great angel.
