

RUSSELL W. “RUSTY” LIGHT OAK HILL - Russell Wayne “Rusty” Light, 67, passed away, Saturday, June 7, 2014 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Born on July 19, 1946 at Garten, he was the son of the late William Henry and Isabel Henly Light. Rusty was a member of the Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene and a member of the New River Humane Society. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a retired Boiler operator with Elkem Metals and a part time employee at Fayetteville Wal-Mart. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Sam Light, Walter Light, Billy Light, and Guy Light; and sisters, Geneva Green and Virginia Henderson. Left to cherish is memory include his wife, Linda Neff Light; daughter, Karrie (Bill) Young; son, Jason (Mandi) Light; six brothers, Tom (Kathy) Light, Larry (Sharon) Light, George (Betty) Light, Jack Light, Ronnie (Pat) Light, Charles Don (Helen) Light; two sisters, Helen (Bill) Bryant and Ruth Vegg; brother-in-law, Steve Neff; sister-in-law, Pam Marks; four grandchildren, Nathan, Ashley, Tyler, and Grayson; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 5 PM, Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Oak Hill Church of the Nazarene, Oak Hill, with Pastor Benjamin Bleish and Dr. Randy L. James officiating. In keeping with his wishes, he will be cremated. The family will receive friends from 4 PM to 5 PM on Thursday before the funeral at the church.
