Timothy Lee “Tim” Naylor, 59 of Fayetteville went to be with Jesus in his sleep on February 2, 2017. Tim was born in Dixie on January 14, 1958 to Anne Naylor and the late Donald Naylor. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, high school sweetheart on March 5, 2014, Lisa Elaine Moran Naylor. Tim was a 1976 graduate of Fayetteville High School and a member of Fayetteville First Church of God. He was formerly employed by Greif Brothers, Alloy barrel plant. His most notable employment was the years he spent as a river manager and guide for New/Gauley Expeditions. He was employed the last 18 years with the City of Beckley. Left to cherish his memory are his son, Timothy Naylor and his wife, Heather; his daughter, Holly Naylor of Oak Hill; his five grand-children whom he adored: Colton Naylor and Devin, Ashley, Darian and Cameryn McDowell; family friend, April Wheeler; his mother, Anne Naylor; and sisters, Joan Miles and Terri Ball. Funeral services will be held at 6 PM, Monday, February 6, 2017 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, with Pastor Danny Goins officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 PM to 6 PM, before the service on Monday evening at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome, or donations may be made to New River Humane Society, 513 Shelter Road, Fayetteville, WV 25840.

Tim was special. He knew how to be in charge, watch your back, and do it with quiet humor. Life, like the river, has its share of pools and rapids. He taught us to treasure all of it. Thanks for reminding us that the bus can wait, to drift the pools, and enjoy life's moments.
