Alice Jean Joseph

Alice Jean Joseph, 82, of Palm Coast, died May 15, 2018 at Florida Hospital Flagler. Mrs. Joseph was born October 8, 1935 in New York, NY, a daughter of Rupert & Sophia Garvey.

After graduating from high school, she attended Hunter College, where she received her Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. Mrs. Joseph worked for Ciba until marriage. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, its Black Catholic Guild and AM Guild, AACHO, and the Rummy Cube Group.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Douglas Joseph. Two children, Anthony Joseph, and Angela (Raymond) Ewers. Two grandchildren, Kyle and Derek Ewers. Sister, Margaret Kelly. Nephew, Paul (Lisa) Kelly. Grand niece and nephew, Kristina (Steve) Kelly-Hill and Paul Kelly Jr. Great grand niece, Hope Hill. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated June 4, 2018 at 11am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway in Palm Coast. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s name to Gabriel House of Care, managers of Helen’s House in Jacksonville (http://www.gabrielhouseofcare.org/ or 904-821-8995).
