With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Alice Page Miller, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Alice passed away peacefully on February 16, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.
Born on September 20, 1929, in Orange, Virginia, Alice was a unique and caring individual who touched the lives of all who knew her. She grew up throughout Northern Virginia and graduated from Fairfax High School in Fairfax, VA, where she excelled as an athlete, earning letters in multiple sports. In 1948, she married her longtime sweetheart, Dewey "Jack" Miller, and together they built a beautiful life centered around love and family.
Alice was a devoted mother to her two sons, Larry (wife Vickie) and Mike (wife Kathy). Throughout her life, she held various jobs, including working at her children’s schools and later she managed a dental office. She had an adventurous spirit and a passion for cooking, traveling, and spending time with her loved ones. An exceptional cook, she specialized in country-style cuisine, bringing comfort and joy to family gatherings with her delicious meals.
She lived in McLean, VA, for many years before moving to Woodstock, VA, and eventually settling in Palm Coast, Florida, later in life. Alice’s greatest joy was her family. She was a loving grandmother to Jason, Kelly, Adam, and Scott, and a doting great-grandmother to Angelina, Natalia, and Gabriel. Her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering faith as a Christian were guiding lights to all who knew her.
Alice was the best of us. Her generosity, strength, and devotion to family will be sorely missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
A graveside service and celebration of life will be held at a later date in Northern Virginia to honor and remember Alice’s extraordinary soul.
