Antonio DaSilva Gomes 78, of Palm Coast passed away on October 5, 2020 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. He was born on March 26, 1942 in Portugal to the late Antonio Joao Gomes and Isilda DaSilva. As a young man he emigrated to the United States in search of the American Dream. Antonio met his wife, started and raised his family in the New York/New Jersey area. He worked in construction but he was also a small business owner in various ventures such as a gas station, luncheonette and a tavern owner. In 2017 he moved to the Palm Coast area with his son and his family. Antonio enjoyed playing cards, going out to eat but most of all he loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his wife Haide Gomes in 2016. Survivors include his sons, David (Maria) Gomes, Angelo Gomes; grandson, Tony (Krysta) Gomes; great-granddaughter, Penelope Gomes; sister, Gina Alves and many more loving cousins, relatives and friends.
