Bennie Terry

Bennie Louis Terry, 82 passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 in Palm Coast, FL. Bennie was born on March 28, 1935 in Tarboro, NC to Willie and Hattie Terry. Bennie was preceded in death by two wives, Jean and Betty and son, Jr. He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years; Maria Terry, sisters; Hilda and Betty Rae, daughters: Opal, Yolantha and Robbi, and many dearly loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bennie lived in the Chesapeake, VA area for most of his life. He retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, VA and later moved to Palm Coast, FL to be close to family. He loved life and enjoyed his retirement with many activities including working on cars, playing bingo, fishing, finding treasures at junkyards and auctions, listening to country music "is there any other kind?", he always had a cup of coffee in hand and loved his friends that joined him in all his various activities. His smile, laugh, snarky comments and sense of humor brought many smiles and stories to the lives of his family and friends and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held at 3pm on November 26, 2017 at the home of Maria Terry in Palm Coast, FL.
