

Beverly Ann Della Ventura 92, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on November 6, 2024, at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, surrounded by her loving family. Beverly was born on November 11, 1931, in Plainfield, New Jersey, to the late Frederick and Marjorie Leahy.
A graduate of Plainfield High School in 1949, Beverly went on to attend Berkley Secretarial School in Plainfield, where she earned her secretarial certificate. She worked for American Cyanamid and Pacific Telephone & Telegraph and, in the evenings, assisted her husband with his business, Della Ventura Dental Lab, where she handled the bookkeeping. Beverly also served as a receptionist for Dr. Kenneth Costa, DMD, in Dunellen, New Jersey.
In 1990, Beverly and her husband, Salvatore, relocated to Palm Coast, Florida. She remained active in her community, volunteering with organizations such as TWIG in Bridgewater, New Jersey, and RSVP in Flagler County, Florida. As a devout Catholic, she dedicated many years to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Palm Coast, Florida, where she set up funeral repasses. Beverly was also a founding member of the Flagler Humane Society Thrift Store and enjoyed volunteering her time there.
Beverly’s creative spirit was evident in her love for quilting, knitting, and sewing, and she was a proud member of the Palm Coast "Blanketeers." She was an avid reader and found joy in a variety of hobbies that brought her closer to her family and community.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 72 years, Salvatore Michael Della Ventura, who passed away in December of 2023. Beverly is survived by her children, Debra Ann (Douglas) Heywood, Nancy (Dr. Kenneth) Costa, and Gayle (Jeffrey) Thomas; her grandchildren, Richard (Danae) Heywood, Kristen (Christopher) Pruitt, Michelle (Joshua) Bartlome, Michael (Miriam) Costa, Matthew Cillo, and Kelsey Cillo; as well as ten great-grandchildren: Douglas, Henry, Kennedy, Harlowe, Joshua, Charlotte, Cody, Kara, Maxwell, and Wallace. Beverly is also survived by many loving relatives and wonderful friends.
In honor of her legacy, donations in Beverly’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Macular Degeneration Foundation.
A visitation for Beverly will be held Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136. A church visitation will be on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the memorial room at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, Florida 32164. Followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Interment to follow at Flagler Memorial Gardens.
