C. Daniel Button of Baltimore, MD, born Dec. 23, 1926, died peacefully on September 24, 2026, in Palm Coast FL., where he’d moved in 2025. Dan, caring husband, is predeceased by his loving wife of over 72 years, Margaret Lair Button. He was a devoted father to his children Craig Button (Norma) and Gail Southern, a proud grandfather to John Button (Julia), Samantha Southern, Julia Hagen (Gage) and Margaret Southern, as well as three great-grandchildren.
Dan was a proud army veteran, a business graduate of the U. of Baltimore, and president of State-Sun Federal S&L Assoc. prior to his retirement. He was a Past Master with the Masonic Order, and the oldest member of their lodge, as well as his church, St. John’s Lutheran of Sweet Air.
