Mr. Gehman was born January 19, 1949 in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, a son of William and Anna Mae Weik Gehman.
He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he received the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with a Bronze Star, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. Following his honorable discharge, he worked for KOA-Kampgrounds of America, Kay Jewelers, and also in many other sales ventures. Mr. Gehman enjoyed walking on the beach, riding on his motor scooter, and cheering for his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. He also had a brown belt in karate, enjoyed dancing and had a passion for politics. One of his proudest accomplishments was being the inventor of the Roller Tanner. Mr. Gehman was a member of Coastal Family Church in Flagler Beach. He was also a 32 degree Mason, and a member of the Boca-Delray Lodge 171 F.&A.M.
Mr. Gehman is survived by his wife Anne Gehman, whom he married July 13, 2014, a daughter Brianne (Michael) Fish of Lake George, NY; three grandchildren, Annie Margaret Fish, Clara Rose Fish and Lillian Grace Fish; two brothers, Johnny Gehman, Sylvester Gehman; three sisters, Linda (Tom) Murse, Dorothy Castline and Mary (Bill) Horn; his special friend, Paul Schwarz, and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by the loving family of his wife; children, Gregory Scott Wagoner, Michelle (Dan) Riggs, Gary Tate-deceased (Mary); grandchildren, Bradley Scott Wagoner, Alexandria Wagoner, Sophie Ann Riggs and Preston Riggs.
Family and friends will be received Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, where services will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Rod Palmer officiating. Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
