Christine Hyman 103, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on November 9, 2018 at her home. She was born on January 1, 1915 in Montego Bay, Jamaica to the late Daniel Irving and Catherine Brown. In 1943 she moved to Havana, Cuba and then in 1948 to New York City where she worked as a sample dress maker working with designers to fit clothing to the models for over 40 years. In 2003 she moved to the Palm Coast area to live with her son Roy and his wife. Catherine enjoyed dancing to big band/swing music, cruising and traveling with friends. She is survived by her sons, Roy (Pansy) Hyman, Raymond Hyman; grandchildren, Nicole, Shawn, Casandra and Holli; 4 great-grandchildren; nephew, Ernie Barnes; best friends, Joyce and Sadie Chin, Joyce Gibson, Victoria Myrie and Urcelin Sudeall who passed away just hours after Christine. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019, 4:00PM at the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Friends may visit on Friday from 3:00PM until time of the service. Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
