Christine Diane Robinson, born Christine Diane Van Horn, passed from this world on March 29, 2026, just twenty-five days after celebrating her 53rd birthday. Though her time with us ended too soon, the life she lived was rich with love, laughter, and beauty — and the world is a brighter place for having had her in it.
Christine had a gift for seeing the world beautifully — quite literally. Rarely without her camera, she had a photographer's eye and a storyteller's heart, capturing moments that others might have walked right past. Her talent was undeniable; one of her photographs was even selected for publication in a magazine, a well-deserved recognition of the artistry she carried with her everywhere she went.
Airplanes held a special place in Christine's heart for as long as anyone could remember. She loved them enough to turn that passion into a degree in airport management — and her father showed just how well he knew his daughter by building her model planes to celebrate it. It was the kind of gift that was so perfectly her.
Her love of Florida was just as genuine. Christine was overjoyed when she and her husband, James A. Robinson Sr., were able to make their home here — the sunshine state suited her spirit perfectly. She loved exploring Florida with James, discovering favorite spots and hidden gems, and she took great delight in sharing those special places with family when they came to visit — the perfect tour guide with a camera always in hand. She loved casting a line and spending peaceful time fishing, and she had the stories to prove it — including the time she reeled in a baby shark.
Christine and James were, in every sense, joined at the hip. They were true partners — companions in the fullest meaning of the word — and their bond was a beautiful thing to witness.
She shared a deep and joyful love of all things Disney with James, and in big ways and small, they simply belonged together. With her stepson, James Jr., she found a special bond of their own — the two of them sharing a love of movies that made for many cherished hours together.
And joy was something Christine gave freely. She was a remarkable storyteller and a gifted writer with a wit that could light up any room. Verbally elegant and endlessly charming, she had a way of making everyone around her feel seen, heard, and a little bit happier. Her laugh was a gift, and so was she.
To her family, Christine was everything. She was a generous and devoted older sister to Marlo, a loving daughter to Dianne and Robert Van Horn, and an extraordinary wife and stepmother to James Sr. and James A. Robinson Jr. She loved deeply and was loved completely in return.
Christine is survived by her husband, James A. Robinson Sr.; her stepson, James A. Robinson Jr.; her parents, Dianne and Robert Van Horn; and her sister, Marlo Sneddon.
She will be missed in all the quiet moments — a beautiful photograph, a Florida sunset, a story that makes you laugh until you cry. But her light doesn't go out. It lives on in every frame she captured, every word she wrote, and every heart she touched.
A Church Visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Flagler Beach, 300 North Central Ave, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136, on April 10, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm followed by a Funeral Service at 1:30 pm, with an Internment at Flagler Memorial Gardens, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, FL 32136.
