Danielle was born on June 18, 1994, in Queens, New York. She is the youngest of three children of Luis and Wanda. Danielle graduated from Queens High School of Teaching and later attended John Jay College in NYC for 3 years. She joined the NAVY in December 2016. She was deployed to the middle east for 7 months in 2019. Danielle was very proud of her accomplishment while “underway”; earning her enlisted Surface Warfare Pin, Navy Marine Corp Achievement medal, and Navy Sailor of the Quarter. Her rank was Petty Officer second class.
Danielle was a loving daughter, caring sister to Sarah and Michael and an adoring aunt to Adam, Olivia, Izabella and Amber. She was funny, cynical, compassionate, inquisitive and very intelligent, always questioning the so called “norm”. She loved to cook, read, and was a 1st degree black belt in Shotokan Karate, from Kyodai Karate Dojo.
Danielle leaves behind her grandmothers (Angelica and Hilda), grandfather (Evaristo), uncles (Duval and Amado), aunt (Cynthia), cousins (Rachel, Angelica, Gabriel, Zachary, Elijah, Benjamin and Khalil) and so many more family and friends that loved and adored her. She will join and be guided by her grandfather Camilo who unfortunately perished on the same day.
Danielle will be missed greatly, but will forever be loved and will live on in our memories and stories.
