Dennis "Denny" P. Hilson

Denny P. Hilson 81, of Ormond Beach, FL. passed away on August 21, 2023 at Advent Health Daytona Beach. He was born on December 8, 1941 to the late Harry Henry and Mary Margaret Hilson (Knapp) in Canton, Ohio. He graduated from Timken Vocational High School in 1959. Denny then enlisted in United States Air Force and served in Okinawa during the Vietnam Conflict. Upon his honorable discharge he started his working career and was an Assistant Administrator at Doctor’s Hospital in Massillon, Ohio. He then switched career paths and joined Nationwide Insurance Company as a District Manager. In 1997 he retired and moved to Volusia County Florida. His memberships included the Moose Lodge, Eagles Club and the American Legion. Denny enjoyed gardening, cooking and reading but his greatest love was being with his family especially his beloved wife. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Donations in his memory may be made to Jewish Federation. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Karen; children, Tammi (Todd) Fisher, Denny (Kelly) Hilson, Sean (Rachel) Hilson; 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson; brother, Terry (Marilyn) Hilson; sister, Pam (Dale) Martin; brother-in-law, Denny Dillman; niece, Nicole Dillman many more loving relatives and wonderful friends.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Denny's memory may be made to Jewish Federation.
