Diamantina “Tina” (Moutinho) Da Silva, of Palm Coast, FL, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2025, at the age of 87. A devoted wife, loving mother, and fun-loving grandmother and great-grandmother. Tina leaves behind her husband of nearly 69 years, Joāo Claudio Da Silva. She leaves behind three daughters- Helena Sousa and husband Fernando, Rosemarie Cardoso, and Louise Faneca. She is additionally survived by her grandchildren Christine Wulff and husband Jason, Deanna Armbruster and husband Aaron, Susan Cardoso and husband Schubert, Denise Cardoso, John Daniel Faneca, and Catherine Weldon. Diamantina was blessed to have nine great grandchildren: Julia, Tomas, Anna, Ava, David, Stefan, Selina, Eleanor, and Everett.
Born on May 1, 1937, in Cepeda, Portugal to parents Aida and Avelino, Diamantina was always young at heart. She was strong and hardworking all of her life. Tina was an incredible cook and was known for her veal stew and lemon meringue pie. Her home was always immaculately clean and tastefully decorated, with perfect hospital corners on the bedsheets and gleaming floors. Tina had a green thumb and could often be found in her garden, trowel in hand, and wearing a large sun hat. She was also imaginative and creative, starting from her humblest beginnings of making a doll out of straw as a child to knitting, crocheting, and sewing clothing for her children and grandchildren. Her primary love, though, was spending time with her family. As it happened, she was blessed with the opportunity to spend the last week of her life with many of her family members; this made her truly happy.
A church visitation for Diamantina will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, Florida 32164, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest immediately following the mass at Flagler Memorial Gardens, 511 Old Kings Rd S. Flagler Beach, FL. 32136
