Dot was born on March 31, 1932, in Bryceville, Florida, to the late Hamp Thomas and Eva Thomas (Sikes). She dedicated more than 20 years of her working career to Pic N Save Stores in the Jacksonville area, where she worked in a clerical position before retiring.
In May 1985, she married the love of her life, Michael C. McPherson. Together they built a wonderful life filled with love and faith.
A devoted member of First Baptist Church of Bunnell, Dot's faith was an important part of her life. She enjoyed tending to her garden, traveling, and finding joy in watching the cardinals that visited her yard.
Dot was preceded in death by her parents, all 12 of her siblings, and son Glenn. She is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years, Michael C. McPherson; her daughter, Janice; her grandson, Ian; her great-grandchildren, Luke, David, and Brooks Ann; as well as many loving friends and her cherished church family.
Visitation will be held at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida 32136, on August 11, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location on August 11, 2026, at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Cape Canaveral National Cemetery, 5525 US-1, Mims, Florida 32754, on August 11, 2026, at 1:30 pm.
