Douglas Lenord Norman, 79, of Ormond Beach, FL passed away peacefully on August 8, 2021 at his home with his loved ones by his side. He was born on March 15, 1942 in Manhattan, NY to the late Lenord and Marylou Norman (Wrisley). He earned his Associates Degree in Business from Farmingdale College. Douglas married his high school sweetheart Marie V. Carosell and shared 54 years together. He spent his entire working career for the Town of Oyster Bay as a supervisor for 30 years. After his retirement in 1992 they moved to the Ormond Beach area. Doug was an avid golfer who enjoyed going out to eat, riding his Harley , listening to music and dancing. He will always be remembered as being a “snappy dresser” and his ability to tell the funniest jokes. Douglas was preceded in death by his wife Marie V. Norman in 2016; son Douglas Norman in 2002; infant daughter, Kerrianne Norman. Survivors include his son, Anthony Norman; grandson, Michael Norman; granddaughter, Toni Patricia Panzer. Donations in his memory may be made to either the American Cancer Society, Alzheimer’s Association or the American Diabetes Association.
