I always saw her as dark n beautiful, elegant and classy. Her laughter was authentic, charming and contagious. There was something magnetic when in her presence, you never wanted to disconnect. When she spoke, it was always from her heart. Rest peacefully with the Lord.

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints - Psalm 116:15. To the Best family, may the comfort of God's love and protection be your portion during this season of your lives. It was my pleasure to have been part of the medical team that served her over the past 12+ years. Mrs Best fulfilled her mission on earth and has gone on to glory. She earned her crowns and is reunited with Christ her Savior. It is well with her soul
Fondly,
Marie

Our faith teaches us that life goes on and it is in this spirit of solace that I celebrate the life well lived of Mrs. Best. Though she has passed over to the higher, lighter plane and we miss her physical presence, each of us who were touched by her know that her legacy lives on in the countless good deeds and loving moments paid forward because of her! Whether we were talking about my own children, work, an event or concern, she always made me feel I was the only one in the room, so direct was her gaze and intense was her engagement; even at heights in her struggle. She saw us the way we wanted to see ourselves and it is my hope that I steadfastly strive to reflect what SHE saw every day of my life. Missing Stella. Peace and love to my Best family.

I grew up hearing my Dad (Jerome Boyce) sharing lovely stories of moments spent with his cousins, Gil and Estelle. When I met them it was as if we had known each other all our lives. Immediately, they both embraced me with love. Aunt Estelle was very warm and loving, I loved her baked salmon and just sitting around a table chit chatting. She shared photographs of the Boyce family and gave me the family tree.

My Aunt Stella was exactly what her name meant. "Stella" she reminded me of a star... Mainly Gladys Knight. She had that beautiful dark skin, a firm voice and a way about her that made you stand at attention. She was always kind but no one to fool with I love and miss her dearly.
