Fernando “Nando” Nunes 59, of Palm Coast passed away on July 6, 2020. He was born on October 20, 1960 in Angola, Africa to the late Antonio Ferraz and Maria Amelia Nunes (Ferreira). Fernando was raised in Angola until the age of 17. He then spent a year in Portugal before finally going to the United States and settling in New Jersey. He married the love of his life in 1985 and in 1988 they moved to Palm Coast, Florida to raise their family. Fernando worked as a cabinet maker for both Amaral Custom Homes and Sea Ray Boats. He absolutely loved going to Disney World with his family, he played soccer for the New Jersey Portuguese Club, was a fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and going to the beach and fishing but his greatest love in life was being with his family. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Fernanda “Fernie”; son, Joshua Nunes; daughter, Alexis Nunes; siblings, Fatima, Carlos, Christina, Parents-in-law, Antonio & Felismina “Mina” Bico and many more loving relatives and friends. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Stroke Association.
