It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Frank Wayne Butler on January 27, 2021 at 74 years of age. Frank was born on May 28, 1946 in Charleston, South Carolina, to Eula Lee Graham Druckenmiller, who raised him with his stepfather, Richard “Dutch” A. Druckenmiller. During the course of his life, Frank served with the United States Merchant Marines, fought as an amateur and professional boxer, and expanded upon his creativity as a hair stylist, the latter of which he did for fifty years. Frank loved watching sports, whether it was football, tennis, basketball, or NASCAR, and he loved playing tennis, which he continued to do well after retirement. Frank loved live music, loved to dance, and loved being around people, none of which remained a stranger. Frank also loved being on the water and would spend much free time boating and fishing. Frank is preceded in death by his sister, mother, and stepfather. Frank is survived by his brother, Howard, his son, Darrell, and numerous friends. Per his wishes, Frank will be cremated, and his ashes will be scattered into the ocean he loved so much. Due to concerns regarding COVID-19, any memorial services will be postponed to a later date.
