Garry Johnson, 77, of Palm Coast, FL, passed away unexpectedly, surrounded by his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, known for his loyalty and determination. Garry never hesitated to help others, always willing to share his time and knowledge with friends and neighbors.
A lifelong learner, Garry had a deep curiosity about history, especially the railroads and his hometown of Haskell, NJ. He built a career at DuPont, earning his engineering seals and taking pride in understanding how things worked. Even in retirement, he continued exploring history through books and research.
Garry had a sharp wit and a love for laughter, often playing pranks and sharing jokes. He was a passionate Harley rider, traveling thousands of miles across the country on his Softail.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Alway); his daughter, Karry Johnson-Hobbs; his grandchildren, Gwyneth, Johnny, and Jessup; his brother, Ken (Joann) Johnson; and his son, Richard. He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. (Johnny) and Uni Johnson.
Garry lived a life full of humor, and love. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
