Genrith “Aunt Jenny” Wilson, 93 of Palm Coast, Florida passed away on January 15, 2021, at Sabal Palms Assisted Living & Memory Care. Aunt Jenny, as she was affectionately known, was born on March 5, 1927, in St. Mary, Jamaica, West Indies to the late Solomon Campbell and Isimand Sinclair. Aunt Jenny had 18 siblings and is survived by 4. She attended Mt. Neiba Baptist School, Alpha Primary School and was a graduate of Emmaus Bible College. Aunt Jenny was a well known and sought after seamstress, in Jamaica, who created elegant clothes for weddings, businesses and schools. She was extremely creative and an interior decorator extraordinaire who could make something out of nothing. She had an impeccable sense of style and a love for the finer things of life. Although she enjoyed her life she kept life in perspective and often said, “you can’t take a U-haul with you” to the grave. Aunt Jenny migrated to the United States in her 50’s as a widow, worked as a housekeeper, and yet still managed to achieve the American dream. She was a consummate gardener. Everything she touched grew abundantly. She was well known for her beautiful and bounteous oranges, grapefruits, and persimmons. Aunt Jenny was baptized in 1958 at the Billy Graham Crusade in Jamaica. Since then, the greatest love of her life was Jesus Christ. This passion and love for the Lord led her to various ministries and missions throughout her life journey. Her faith in Christ gave her the ability to persevere through the many trials and tribulations of her life. In everything life threw at her she was able to make peace with it and adapt. To learn to be content and “adapt to your circumstances:” was one of the greatest life lessons Aunt Jenny’s life teaches us. Her sunny outlook on life, humor, and words of wisdom will resonate with her family and friends for many years to come. She was preceded in death by her wonderful husband, Andrew Wilson in 1974; her beloved nephew, Leslie Rose in 2010, and her adored great son-in-law, Howard Dyer in 2009. Survivors include her nieces, Norma Rose, Camille McKenzie, Karell Rose and Monique Moser; nephews, Michael Campbell, Chris McKenzie, Nick Moser, Mukiese Nsakala and close family, Nsakala & Luzibu Nsakala and many more loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives, and beloved friends.
