STEWART, Greta Elaine Kitchin Stewart, aged 67, of Palm Coast FL, died on October 1, 2026, as a result of advanced metastatic lung cancer. Born in Atlanta, GA, Greta resided in the Atlanta area for most of her adult life until relocating to Palm Coast, FL more permanently in 2014. She graduated from Ridgeview High School in 1977 and earned a B.A. degree in Fashion Merchandising from Auburn University in 1981.
Greta was a woman of faith, family and philanthropy. Her love for the Lord shined brightly through every aspect of her life. She and her beloved husband Bob, whom she was married to for 32 years before his untimely passing in 2016, both had generous hearts and a deep passion for helping others, and she served as a mentor and source of encouragement to many. Her sense of humor was infectious, her spirit magnetic, and her presence had a way of making those around her feel loved and welcomed. Greta lived with lupus for much of her adult life, but chronic pain never kept her from living life to the fullest. She faced each day with remarkable strength, grace, and a determination to find joy in the moments that mattered most. She loved reading, working puzzles, traveling with her family, and living life at the beach. Above all, Greta treasured her family and the time they shared together. Her faith, generosity, resilience, and joyful spirit will live on in the many lives she touched.
She is survived by her daughters Chloe and Kensley, her sister Trudy (Dave), her brother Phil (Myra), and many other family members and friends. Greta was predeceased by her husband Bob Stewart and parents Willis and Mildred Kitchin. The family will greet guests Wednesday, October 14th at Bartletts Restaurant (5368 N Ocean Shore Blvd, Palm Coast, FL 32137) with a celebration of Greta’s life beginning at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Lupus Foundation (www.lupus.org).
