Idalia Zafrani, 99, of Palm Coast, Florida, peacefully entered into rest at home surrounded by her family on September 23, 2020. She was born to Abraham Zafrani and Eufemia Arguelles on October 22, 1920, in Panama, Republic of Panama. Idalia will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Idalia (Abelardo) Betancourt, her granddaughters, Maria (Ernesto) Casas and Ana (Chad) Blaine, grandchildren, Isabella, Abigail, Alejandra, Carlin, and Cooper, and her sister, Aracelli Razzetti.
Idalia, affectionately nicknamed Aby, immigrated to Buffalo, New York in 1969, to fulfill her lifelong dream of living in the United States. Soon after, she established residency in Miami, Florida, where she lived for over 30 years. She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Belleview, Florida for 17 years and more recently at Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church in Flagler Beach, Florida. Idalia was a devoted mother and grandmother, and a woman of many passions including her love for watching baseball (especially the New York Yankees), cooking, sewing, and later on in life, her great-grandchildren.
There will be a Memorial Mass at Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at 10:00 o’clock in the morning. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the St. Jude in honor of Idalia.
