Jim was born on April 19, 1941, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late James and Viola Sinclair. He was raised in South Philadelphia, where his love for family, community, and sports was deeply rooted. In the summer of 1960, Jim met the love of his life, Elaine, and their story began over a friendly game of pinball. They married on May 4, 1963, and went on to raise four children together in New Jersey.
A proud member of the Local Teamsters #107, Jim worked as a truck driver for 33 years. In 2000, he and Elaine relocated to Palm Coast to enjoy retirement in the Florida sunshine. Jim was an avid sports fan, never missing a chance to cheer for his beloved Philadelphia teams — the Eagles, Flyers, and Phillies. He also enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family.
Jim is survived by his devoted wife of 62 years, Elaine; his children, James “Jimmy” Sinclair, Robert “Rob” Sinclair and his wife Lisa, his twin sister Stephanie Sinclair and her partner Mark, Elaine and her husband Tim Hale and George (Yurij) Sawchyn. He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren and a loving great-grandfather to three. He is also survived by his sister, Joane Gleason.
Jim will be remembered for his unwavering loyalty, sense of humor, and love for his family and hometown teams. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
