James E Stratford

James E. Stratford, age 88, went peacefully to be with the Lord at his home one April 4th, 2020. James was born on April 19, 1931 in Stratford, Connecticut. He was a graduate from Stratford High School, served in the United States Air Force, became a tool and dye maker and had a career in Structural Engineering and Quality Assurance. James married Marie Castellanete on January 12, 1957 and remained married until her passing in 1996.

James and his family moved to Florida in 1974 and was currently a Palm Coast, Florida resident.

James was a member of the Italian American Club and the Palm Coast Social Club. He enjoyed playing poker, dancing and bird watching.

He is preceded in life by his mother Eva Powers, brother Roy Stratford, and wife Marie C. Stratford. He is survived by daughters Lisa Stratford, Laura-Stratford Wilson, Eve-Marie LaBrano, Alison Stratford Ashley-von Euler and son Edward Stratford. James has 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandsons.

The family will have a private life celebration at Craigs Funeral Home in Flagler Beach. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Grandchildren: Diana Marie Mangum., Stephanie Labrano Rowe, Jennifer Labrano, Anthony J Labrano, Braxton J. Ashley, Ashely Fivecoate, David Dalton McCallister, Evelina von Euler.

Great Grandsons: Justin Christopher Mangum, Mason James Labrano, Henry A. Rowe, and Dalton Maverick Mangum.
