

Jennie was born on May 6, 1926 to Antonio and Caterina Cuozzo in Brooklyn, New York. She was one of three children, having an older sister, Mary and younger brother, Anthony. She was a beloved mother to five daughters, a wife and a homemaker. Jennie moved to Palm Coast, Florida in 1973 from South Ozone Park, Queens, New York with her husband, Carmine and four of her five daughters. The Izzillo family was one of the first one hundred families to live in the ITT community of Palm Coast. Jennie was also one of the original parishioners of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed dancing, knitting, sewing, traveling, and loved spending time with her family. She was also an avid reader.
Jennie was preceded in death by her loving husband of seventy-one years, Carmine Izzillo, her sister, Mary Ferraro, her brother Anthony Cuozzo, and by her daughter, Mary Canelos.
Jennie is survived by her children, Anne Izzillo, Theresa Izzillo with partner Susan Schulz, Bernadette Izzillo-Sommer with husband Henry Sommer, Carmela Brown with husband Keith Brown, and Ferdinand Canelos, her son-in-law, with his wife Steffany, her grandchildren, Jennie with partner Liam Glaser, Elizabeth Anne with partner Tiara Knapp, Michael with fiancé Stephanie Holbert, Daniel, Nick, Hope Mary, and Easton, her great grandson, Lysander, and many other family and friends who knew and loved her. Jennie was a wonderful woman who loved her family very much. She will be missed by all who had the privilege of being in her life.
Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
Viewing will be on Friday, November 25 at Martin A. Gleason Funeral Home, 36-46 Bell Blvd, Bayside, New York from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
A celebration of life Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 26 at Sacred Heart Church, 215-35 38th Avenue, New York.
Interment will be at Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum, 2030 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, New York.
Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in lieu of flowers.
