John Witek 89, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away on October 29, 2018 at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. He was born on July 18, 1929 in Zalynia, Poland to the late Walter Witek I and Stephanie Markowicz. John worked as a plumber in construction in Greenwich, Connecticut. He was a life member of Local 777 United Association of the Plumbing & Pipefitting Industry. John was also a devout catholic and was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. He enjoyed, gardening, fishing, playing golf but his true passion was in playing his accordion. John will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Helen; children, Maryann Witek of Palm Coast, Walter Witek II of Jacksonville and John Witek of Stamford, CT; sister, Mary Wood of Wappinger Falls, NY; A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 2, 2018, 1:00PM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
