I am so very sorry to hear of Jon's passing.  I have so many great memories from our childhood growing up together in Flagler. I can still see teenage Jon zipping all around town on that motorcycle. He sure put a lot of miles on that bike.  Sending my most heartfelt sympathies to Jon's entire family.

We only had the pleasure of knowing Jon in the last few years of his life. However once you’ve met him it’s like you’ve known him your entire life!  He was truly welcoming!  And I totally agree with Rosemary’s post and description of Jon.  He was a lover of life, family & friends!  Outside of Darlene,  unfortunately we never had the opportunity to meet the rest of his family.  He truly loved you and was proud of you all.  And after many conversations with Jon I know he loved Jesus with all of his heart.  So I believe we will see you again someday, Jon!  But not too soon❤️

I will always cherish the memories of Jon. He was an amazing person and a beautiful soul, full of kindness, compassion, and a zest for life. Jon was an incredibly hardworking man. He was attuned to peoples feeling and never really spoke an unkind word to anyone.  He was extremely generous with his time and money.  He would help anyone who needed help.  Specifically, I remember during numerous hurricanes seasons he would start as soon as possible boarding up people’s houses all around Flagler Beach at no charge.  If your car was broken down on the side of the road, whether you ran out of gas or a flat tire, he was the man that stopped and helped you to get on your way.
Jon and I met in 1989, and were together for over 20 years, we experienced the joys and heartbreaks of raising his three beautiful children, and our grandchildren, and always continued to stay loving, respectful and emotionally close throughout the years, to the very end.
If I would have known that the last time I would speak with Jon and tell him I Loved Him would be at 3:30 pm, on February 1, 2024, I would have talked with him longer. However, he was having difficulty responding to me, but our daughter, Sarah, made sure I understood him, and he understood me.
My heart is filled with sadness because of Jon’s passing, but I am blessed to know that he passed comfortably and I’m sure God has more for us than just our time on Earth, so I’m going to keep hearing Jon say, “Oh, Guess What?”  I LOVE YOU!!!!!!

John was a very special person and a good friend.  We shared many memories together.  Crabbing as kids ,playing football in High School, and our love for Florida State where we both attended.  John will be missed by all who were blessed enough to have known him.  Jim Watson

Jon was an incredible man, he always cared for your well being and was always there to help you when he saw you needed help. He was great to work with and I will miss him very much. God Speed Jon. I will miss seeing you.

Who was Jon Wilder? Jon was a friend to everyone that met him. He was always there to offer a helping hand for whatever you needed. He was there to laugh with you, cry with you or give you advice for whatever the circumstances warranted. His heart was the size of the Grand Canyon. 
I have so many fond memories of Jon that I will always cherish. One of those memories was at a Boy Scout camp retreat with my son Matt and his son Jon Jr. For those of you that knew Jon, he was the ultimate jokester. His big smile and belly laugh was unforgettable.
As mentioned, one of my fondest memories was on one of our Boy Scout camp outings. Jon, being the jokester that he was, while hiking a trail, he came upon some clothing in the woods. He decided to chase our sons through the woods with it. Well Matt and Jon Jr. were much faster than Jon.  As fate would have it, Jon stepped on a nest of yellow jackets and being the slowest, he found out rather quickly that he was the target of the yellow jackets wrath!
Well once he got back to the camp, he had quite a few stings on his face. All in all, we all had a good laugh over it, including Jon. 
While visiting Jon in the hospital, we relived that event from 30 years ago. At this point, Jon was having trouble communicating, but we still laughed hard over the incident. 
All of us that loved him will miss him dearly. However, we will see him again one day and share all of our fond memories and laughter all over again. He is now pain free and healthy waiting to share his laughter, smile and stories with his friends and family again.

I have fond memories of Jon’s and my years of JV
and then High School football. He was always a leader and on the on field coach. Jon  made us better players and I will be forever grateful for his leadership.

Jon will always be loved and remembered by me and many others. I have known him since I was three or four years old. I will always cherish those childhood memories that he was a part of. He grew up to be an amazing man.

I worked with Joan years ago at Publix and that's how I got lucky enough to meet John was a good guy a good father May the family take all the memories and keep them close travel well John😇✌

I will always remember John for being a great great friend and fresh sense of humor. He had us laughing constantly whenever we ran into him I will miss him greatly.
