Joseph E Redfield

Joe was a car enthusiast, owning many convertibles, refurbishing antique vehicles, and frequenting car shows including the Turkey Rod Run. He found his peace at the place he loved most, the beach. Joe also enjoyed listening to oldies music, going to The Moose Lodge, and wood working. He worked as a bartender in his youth at many of Daytona Beach’s hot spots on the beach. He also spent a few years in the A/C trade industry. Joe immensely enjoyed being involved in the appliance industry, co-operating a business in his later years with a buddy, mostly loving the customer relations from it.

To Joe, his family meant the world to him and he would do anything for them. Joe loved people, he definitely never met a stranger and he saw the good in everyone he met. He was a kind and loving spouse to his wife and an amazing father and ”pop-pop”, which was above all his best quality as an affectionate nurturer and generous, reliable and loyal, FUN family-man.

Joe was predeceased by his brother, Billy, his sisters, Ginny and Terry.

Joe is survived by his wife of 25 plus years, Lucy Redfield. He is further survived by his daughter, Marcella (Billy) Miller, his step-daughter, Denise Blumberg, his grandchildren, Christian (Olga), Caleb, and Danielle (Ethan), his sister-in-law Debbie, his nieces, Candy, Jamie Lee (Rob), Denise, Nina, Valerie, Kierstyn, Aleena, Candace, Anya, Martina and Michele, his nephews Eddie, Billy, Eddie, Joey, Timmy, Bryce and Terrance, his cousin Carl, his beloved dog Shelly, and many other family and friends whom he cared for. Joe was a good man who will be missed by all who knew him.

A Private Beach Celebration of life is to be held Saturday, 6/18 at sunset in Ormond Beach, his favorite beach in Florida, aka ‘home’. Arrangements are made in the trust and care of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
