I will miss her forever. Thank you Ray for being the Husband she deserved. 

Juanita “Nita” Derois was a loving mother of 3 children, Brenda, Linda and Jim, and a 2 stepchildren, Donna and Mike (now Deacon Mike), who loved her very much. She had 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

Nita married Ray on July 16, 1984, in a joyful yet quiet civil ceremony.  After Nita converted to Catholicism, she and Ray had their marriage sacramentalized in St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Harrisburg, PA. surrounded by family. They were married for forty years, up and until the time of her passing.

Nita was a woman of service to her church and community.  Nita and Ray taught Sunday school together for 5 years, first at the Hall and then the new school after it was built.  They both ushered at the 9:00 am Mass every Sunday, and they worked the Bingo together, Nita making lunches for the participants and Ray in the front as a caller. She baked hundreds of cakes over the years for the Knights of Columbus, for both their dances and their meetings.  And many parishioners would have seen the dozens of costumes Nita designed and sewed for the Christmas Nativity pageant under Father John Tetlow and Father Al Esposito’s time at Santa Maria del Mar. On a more personal level, she was a skilled artist of over a hundred oil paintings and talented seamstress, making a beautiful home for her and Ray.

She touched many lives during her lifetime, and she made everyone she met feel special, as it was one of her many gifts.  She was a beautiful person inside and out, and she will be missed by so many, but especially by her devoted and loving husband Ray and her family and friends who knew her best. Rest in Peace our lovely Nita.


	Its hard to put in words how I feel, you will always be with me, my heart is aching with your passing, a part of me is missing now that you are gone. When I was young you were there for me through out the years to build me up when I was down, you took care of me when I was sick and hurting. You were always a loving and caring mother. It would always warm my heart seeing your smiling face. I will miss that. The best parts of me came from you. I know I will see you again. Your loving son Jim. 

I was truly blessed to have such a wonderful mother-in-law, I love you to the moon and back. Love Debbie.
