

Born in Midland Park, New Jersey, Jules was the son of the late Julius and Helen Omelianuk. He graduated from Midland Park High School in 1960 and began a distinguished career with the Midland Park Police Department. During his tenure, he was honored with the prestigious “Top Cop Award” and made history with the first drug bust in Bergen County. After many dedicated years of service, he retired from the force.
Following his retirement, Jules pursued his passion for mechanics and opened J&L Auto, a mechanic and towing service in Midland Park, which he operated for several years.
In 2021, Jules and his beloved partner of 29 years, Louise Stillwaggon, relocated to Palm Coast, Florida. He was a proud member of the New Jersey PBA and found joy in tinkering with cars and cooking for family and friends.
Jules is survived by his beloved partner of 29 years, Louise Stillwaggon; sons, Scott, Brett, and Timothy Omelianuk; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Sheryl Toy, Barbara Otto, Donald Stillwaggon, and Cathy Meade; along with eight step-grandchildren.
Jules will be remembered for his deep commitment to service, his love for family, and his enduring passion for life.
