She was born November 24, 1964, in Queens, NY, the eldest daughter of William V. and Vivian Richardson. Lauren was a graduate of St. John the Baptist High School in West Islip, NY. She attended Daemen College in Amherst, NY. Her Grandma Jessie Fenton called her, “The Princess” and her Uncle Dee called her, “Lauren P”.
She was married briefly to Dondhi Burrell in 1990 then moved to Charlotte, NC where she lived for 15 years. She worked as a CNA for a few years, then became a driver for the Charlotte Area Transit System.
In 2003, she left Charlotte, NC for Jacksonville, FL to be closer to family. Lauren was quite bright and had a head for research. This led to her moving to a career in auditing and underwriting. Her last workplace role was as a MOD Control Specialist for JP Morgan Chase in Jacksonville, FL. Lauren loved her family. Since her sister, Erin, lived farthest away, she would travel up to NY to visit her once a year to catch up.
Lauren especially loved gatherings with all the kids, she adored her nieces and nephews. She was a great cook. Her Macaroni and Cheese was a favorite at family gatherings. Lauren taught her nephew, William how to make it, so hopefully he will continue the tradition.
Lauren truly enjoyed traveling. She was a cruise expert and sailed out on many cruises to such places as Canada, Mexico, and all over the Caribbean. She even ventured across the pond on a flight to London. Lauren loved and attended many concerts. More recently she loved attending Picnic and Pops in Palm Coast. She enjoyed reading historical novels and watching BBC shows. Lauren enjoyed watching and discussing football with anyone. She and Erin spent lots of time enjoying this pastime. Lauren’s favorite football team was the New England Patriots.
She is preceded in death by her father, William V. Richardson, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Vivian Richardson of Palm Coast, FL, sister, Renée (Jeffery) Hunt of Deltona, FL, brother Mark (Loren) Tirotta of Palm Bay, FL, and sister, Erin (Christopher) Smith of Bay Shore, NY.
