Born on February 21, 1934, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Louise was the cherished daughter of Frank and Emma (Kametler) Fiala.
She was raised in Allentown, where she attended Catholic school and formed the strong values of faith, compassion, and dedication that would guide her throughout her life.
Following her graduation from high school, Louise began her professional career with Bell Telephone, where her natural talent for communication quickly became evident. Gifted with both intelligence and kindness, she later brought her communication & organizational skills and steady leadership to the hospital field. In every role she held, Louise earned the respect and admiration of colleagues through her grace, diligence, and genuine care for others.
Outside of her work, Louise found joy in life’s simple and meaningful pleasures. She had an amazing sense of humor “always making those around her laugh”, loved swimming, crocheting, reading, tending to her garden, preparing meals for those she loved, and delighting in the music and storytelling of classic movies & musicals. Yet above all else, Louise treasured time spent with her family. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and welcome, where her love for those closest to her was always abundantly felt.
Louise was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Price, her parents and her brother-in-law, Larry Weider.
She leaves behind her beloved husband, Paul Parkoshon, whom she married on December 12, 2013. She is also survived by her devoted son, Walter (Angela) Price, and her daughter, Tamaira (Terry) Haas, both of New Tripoli, Pennsylvania. Louise was a loving mother to Cynthia Parkoshon, Michael (Shannon) Parkoshon, and Tary (Jay) Tucker. She is also survived by her sister, Rita Weider, her nephew, Christopher (Char) Weider, extended family James Kline, and The Percosan Family.
Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Nicholas Mancina and Christian Haas, and her great-grandchildren, Alexander and Sebastian Mancina and Chloe Haas.
Louise will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her quiet strength, and the boundless love she gave so freely to her family and friends. Her life was a testament to kindness, devotion, and grace, and the memory of her warmth will remain a blessing to all who knew her.
