Margaret A. Dudley

Margaret, lovingly known as “Mop Mop,” was born on October 10, 1941, in Conway, South Carolina. She was the daughter of John Cusack and Zora “Jo” Thomas.

She was raised in Bunnell, FL, then moved to Merritt Island for nearly a decade, where she met her husband Frank Sr. It was there where she worked at the Kennedy Space Center. She and Frank Sr. then moved back to Bunnell to raise a family. She worked for Flagler County Schools as a receptionist and librarian. Then in 1985, Margaret and Frank Sr., founded Palmetto Electric Inc.

In her free time, Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family, shopping, antiquing, gardening, and traveling all over the world. Before Frank Sr. passed, they traveled all over the United States and the Caribbean together. She then traveled with friends and family to China, South America, Hawaii, Alaska, and several countries in Europe to name a few.

Margaret’s husband of 52 years, William Franklin Dudley Sr., died on May 13, 2015. Together they had four children, Kim (Marcelo) Vivero of Debary, Kris (Rick) Simmons of San Mateo, Kandace Hansen of Palm Coast, and Frank Jr. (Karina) Dudley of Bunnell; nine grandchildren, Kayla (Eric) Rush, Clayton (Kimberly) Simmons, Samuel (Abby) Vivero, Kelsey (Austin) Barber, Dawson Hansen, Ryan Dudley, Ellie Hansen, Lucie Dudley, and Spencer Dudley; and six great-grandchildren, Kadlee Rush, Easton Rush, Stella Vivero, Kylie Simmons, Dax Simmons, and Kye Barber.

Family and friends will be received Saturday, February 22nd, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South in Flagler Beach. Services will be held at 2:00 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Dudley’s name to Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, 150 Memorial Medical Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32164.
